Berlin Buzzwords '22 will take place at Kulturbrauerei!

After two years of exclusively digital editions, we are thrilled that Berlin Buzzword will take place onsite in Berlin this year!

Our venue will be Kulturbrauerei, a monument of industrial culture and an event location in the heart of Berlin, in the vibrant neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg, making it easily accessible via public transport or bike and offering ample opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, culture and related activities nearby.

Starting off as an actual brewery in the mid 19th century, the compound grew to over 25,000 m² over the years and brewed beer until production was discontinued in 1967. After that, the premises was listed as a historical building in 1974, but wasn't renovated until 1998, after which it was reopened as an event location.

Today, Kulturbrauerei is a unique location in Berlin, offering an exclusive atmosphere with impressive architecture.

Berlin Buzzwords 2022 will take place in several places within Kulturbrauerei, all named after old production buildings: Maschinenhaus and Kesselhaus will be the locations for our stages, where talks will be held. Palais Kulturbrauerei is the site of our partner area and is located in a building, that, in a true testimony to German compound nouns is actually called "Flaschenkühlraum" — which translates to "cold storage room for bottles". Palais sports a unique rooftop deck, where our traditional barcamp, hosted by Nick Burch, will take place. You can take a virtual 360° tour of our venue here
